一张坐席的地方。比喻极小的地方或具有某种程度的地位或位置。《旧唐书．卷五一．后妃传上．玄宗杨贵妃传》：「妇人智识不远，有忤圣情，然贵妃久承恩顾，何惜宫中一席之地，使其就戮，安忍取辱于外哉！」《儒林外史．第三五回》：「不妨，我只须一席之地，将就过一夜，车子叫他在门外罢了。」也作「一席地」。
