不合于时下的潮流、趋向。宋．费衮《梁谿漫志．卷四．侍儿对东坡语》：「东坡一日退朝食罢，扪腹徐行，顾谓侍儿曰：『汝辈且道是中有何物？』……至朝云乃曰：『学士一肚皮不入时宜。』坡捧腹大笑。」也作「不合时宜」。
