不適應某地的氣候、飲食等。《三國演義．第四四回》：「驅中國士卒，遠涉江湖，不服水土，多生疾病。」《紅樓夢．第六六回》：「方知薛蟠不慣風霜，不服水土，一進京時便病倒在家，請醫調治。」也作「不伏水土」、「不習水土」。
