尚未实际交战，即已征服敌人。语出《荀子．议兵》：「此四帝两王，皆以仁义之兵行于天下也。故近者亲其善，远者慕其德。兵不血刃，远迩来服。」后也用来比喻轻易得胜。《晋书．卷六六．陶侃传》：「默在中原，数与石勒等战，贼畏其勇，闻侃讨之，兵不血刃而擒也，益畏侃。」《五代史平话．周史．卷下》：「陛下离京纔四十二日，兵不血刃，北举燕南之地，此不世之功。」也作「兵无血刃」、「军不血刃」。
