CEDICT

美好的開始，圓滿的結局。《莊子．大宗師》：「故聖人將遊於物之所不得遯而皆存，善妖善老，善始善終，人猶效之。」《史記．卷五六．陳丞相世家》：「呂后時，事多故矣，然平竟自脫，定宗廟，以榮名終，稱賢相，豈不善始善終哉！」也作「善始令終」。
