書體名。秦統一天下後，因各國語言文字互異，始皇為使文字規範化，遂令丞相李斯等人，在大篆的基礎上，加以省改，頒行全國成為官定的標準字體。小篆字體較大篆字體簡化、整齊。今存於世的秦泰山、瑯琊臺兩塊殘石，稍可見小篆風貌。
