CEDICT

茅，茅草。茹，根部相连者。拔茅连茹语本《易经．泰卦．初九》：「拔茅茹，以其彙，征吉。」三国魏．王弼．注：「茅之为物，拔其根而相牵引者也。茹，相牵引之貌也。」比喻贤人相继引进。《幼学琼林．卷二二．花木类》：「国家进多贤，曰拔茅连茹。」《野叟曝言．第八四回》：「如今又是赤瑛、红瑶夫妇，拔茅连茹，接踵而至。」
