隋文帝命李德林作詔書恢復鄭譯爵位，高熲乃戲譯說：「筆乾」，譯則回答說：「不得一錢，何以潤筆。」典出《隋書．卷三八．鄭譯傳》。後指請人家寫文章、作畫、寫字的酬勞。唐．殷文圭〈貽李南平〉詩：「潤筆已曾經奏謝，更飛章句問張華。」也作「潤資」。
