隋文帝命李德林作诏书恢复郑译爵位，高熲乃戏译说：「笔乾」，译则回答说：「不得一钱，何以润笔。」典出《隋书．卷三八．郑译传》。后指请人家写文章、作画、写字的酬劳。唐．殷文圭〈贻李南平〉诗：「润笔已曾经奏谢，更飞章句问张华。」也作「润资」。
