听别人述说千百遍，不如亲眼看一次来得真确。《汉书．卷六九．赵充国传》：「充国曰：『百闻不如一见。兵难隃度，臣愿驰至金城，图上方略。』」《二十年目睹之怪现状．第三六回》：「我也久闻玄妙观是个名胜，乐得去逛一逛。谁知到得观前，大失所望，真是百闻不如一见。」也作「千闻不如一见」。
