喻脫離苦海。《紅樓夢．第一回》：「此乃玄機不可預洩者，到那時只不要忘了我二人，便可跳出火坑矣。」後專指娼妓從良。如：「婦聯會呼籲：拯救雛妓，讓這些不幸的少女跳出火坑。」
