鸿毛，大雁的羽毛。轻于鸿毛指比鸟羽还轻。形容非常轻微，没有价值。《战国策．楚策四》：「是以国权轻于鸿毛，而积祸重于丘山。」《野叟曝言．第一一○回》：「今又全已没，徒怼下官之直言，弃父母而不顾，死轻于鸿毛，窃为小娘子不取也。」也作「轻如鸿毛」。
