形容混亂沒有條理或神志不清、翻來覆去。《蕩寇志．第一二回》：「那劉母口裡不住的南無佛，南無法，南無僧，佛國有緣，佛法相因，常樂我靜，人離難，難離身，一切災殃化灰塵，顛三倒四價念那高王經。」也作「倒四顛三」、「倒三顛四」。
