lit. fish and dragons mixed in together (idiom); fig. crooks mixed in with the honest folk

good and bad things or people being mixed together indiscriminately

比喻各种不同身分地位的人溷聚在一起。《红楼梦．第九四回》：「现在人多手乱，鱼龙溷杂，倒是这麽一来你们也洗洗清。」《文明小史．第四二回》：「人数多了，自难免鱼龙溷杂，贤愚不分。」也作「龙蛇溷杂」。
