the Five Legendary Emperors, usually taken to be the Yellow Emperor 黃帝 Huángdì, Zhuanxu 顓頊 Zhuānxū, Di Ku 帝嚳 Dì Kù, Tang Yao 唐堯 Táng Yáo and Yu Shun 虞舜 Yú Shùn

CEDICT

  1. 我國上古傳說中的五位聖王。因出自傳說，故說法不盡相同，較主要者為：(1)黃帝、顓頊、帝嚳、堯、舜。《史記．卷一．五帝本紀》南朝宋．裴駰．集解：「太史公依世本、大戴禮，以黃帝、顓頊、帝嚳、唐堯、虞舜為五帝。」(2)少昊、顓頊、帝嚳、堯、舜。
  2. 東西南北中五方位的天神。指太昊、炎帝、少昊、顓頊、黃帝。
