CEDICT

婚礼中，新郎新娘两人交杯共饮。语出《礼记．昏义》：「妇至，婿揖妇以入，共牢而食，合卺而酳，所以合体同尊卑以亲之也。」后世遂以合卺称「结婚之礼」。《初刻拍桉惊奇．卷五》：「合卺之夕，凡属两姓亲朋，无有不来的。」也称为「喝交杯」。
