CEDICT

婚禮中，新郎新娘兩人交杯共飲。語出《禮記．昏義》：「婦至，婿揖婦以入，共牢而食，合巹而酳，所以合體同尊卑以親之也。」後世遂以合巹稱「結婚之禮」。《初刻拍案驚奇．卷五》：「合巹之夕，凡屬兩姓親朋，無有不來的。」也稱為「喝交杯」。
