战国时，燕太子丹派荆轲献燕国的地图，而藏匕首于图中，以谋刺秦王的故事。典出《史记．卷八六．刺客传．荆轲传》。后比喻事情发展到最后，形迹败露，现出真相。如：「他私下挪用公款来周转，没想到图穷匕见，终于吃上官司。」也作「图穷匕现」、「图穷匕首见」。
