戰國時，燕太子丹派荊軻獻燕國的地圖，而藏匕首於圖中，以謀刺秦王的故事。典出《史記．卷八六．刺客傳．荊軻傳》。後比喻事情發展到最後，形跡敗露，現出真相。如：「他私下挪用公款來周轉，沒想到圖窮匕見，終於吃上官司。」也作「圖窮匕現」、「圖窮匕首見」。
