語本《史記．卷九二．淮陰侯傳》：「上問曰：『如我能將幾何？』信曰：『陛下不過能將十萬。』上曰：『於君何如？』曰：『臣多多而益善耳。』」指愈多愈好。《初刻拍案驚奇．卷一八》：「多多益善，母多丹多，省得再費手腳。」《儒林外史．第一五回》：「尚書公遺下宦囊不少，這位公子卻有錢癖，思量多多益善，要學我這燒銀之法。」也作「多多益辦」。
