temperate zone; tepid zone (the zone between the tropics and the polar regions)

地球上界於熱帶及寒帶間的地區。約在南北回歸線各自延伸四十三度至極圈，即南、北緯六十六度半附近區域。氣候溫和，四季分明，故稱為「溫帶」。有北溫帶、南溫帶之分。
