皇帝即位。《清平山堂話本．張子房慕道記》：「話說漢朝年間，高祖登基，駕坐長安大國。」《初刻拍案驚奇．卷一○》：「又過了一年有餘，正遇著正德爺爺崩了，遺詔冊立興王，嘉靖爺爺就藩邸，召入登基，年方一十五歲。」也作「登極」。
