本指女子出嫁时，母亲为女儿繫上佩巾，并谆谆教诲的仪式。语本《诗经．豳风．东山》：「亲结其缡，九十其仪。」后用以告诫子女。汉．马援〈诫兄子严敦书〉：「施衿结缡，申父母之戒，欲使汝曹不忘之耳。」亦泛指结婚。唐．权德舆〈鄜坊节度使推官大理评事唐君墓志铭〉：「结缡周月，遭罹柏舟之痛。」也作「结褵」。
