脸色像泥土一样。形容惊恐到了极点。《聊斋志异．卷五．武孝廉》：「一日，方燕饮，闻喧詈声，释杯凝听，则妇搴帘入矣，石大骇，面色如土。」也作「面如土色」、「面如灰土」。
