臉色像泥土一樣。形容驚恐到了極點。《聊齋志異．卷五．武孝廉》：「一日，方燕飲，聞喧詈聲，釋杯凝聽，則婦搴簾入矣，石大駭，面色如土。」也作「面如土色」、「面如灰土」。
