  2. 佛家六度之一。將自己所擁有的東西，施捨給人。就施捨的內容區分包括：財物的施捨，佛法的施捨，及給予安全感。《增一阿含經．卷一六》：「好喜布施，持八關齋。」《西遊記．第一五回》：「那三藏在馬上接了道：『多承布施！多承布施！』」也作「佈施」。
