本指孫巖妻修煉成仙的狐狸，雖然變幻成人形以迷惑人，但尾巴卻無法變化的故事。典出《洛陽伽藍記．卷四．法雲寺》。後多比喻偽裝出善良的外表以迷惑世人的壞人所極力掩蓋的本來面目。
